Our eco-responsible actions

OPTIMIZING THE VALUE OF OUR RAW MATERIALS

We are constantly seeking to increase our extraction ratios by adjusting time, temperature and water volume parameters for each plant. This way, once extracted, the plants are “exhausted” and redirected to our co-valorization cycle.

BIOMASS METHANIZATION

All of our biomass (plants remains after extraction) is periodically collected and transported to a local methanization center (30km).

In addition to other deposits, our co-products are thus valorized in the natural gas network selected by our partner.

SELECTIVE WASTE SORTING

We enforce regulations on selective sorting involving sorting at source and recovery of the 5 waste streams (Decree no. 2016-288 of March 10, 2016).  All cardboard, paper and plastic film waste is entrusted to specialized recycling companies.

Herbal T also ensures the selective sorting of each type of waste (batteries, toners, food packaging consumed on site, glass) by raising employee awareness.

We strive to reduce paper consumption by suppressing individual printers and providing collective printers in work areas.

Our obsolete IT equipment is entrusted to a recycling charity network such as EMMAÜS.

REUSING CONTAINERS

Herbal T encourages the use of reusable containers in break areas and for taste tests, thus limiting the use of “plastic” cups and accessories.

PRODUCT RECYCLING

Since June 2019, all incomplete infusion bags are recycled in the following productions, under the control of our quality department, which ensures that our formulations are respected.

AND TOMORROW…

Working on the co-valorization of our co-products with other Naturopôle companies, as well as on the recovery of essential oils from our raw materials that are partially lost during our processes.
